The artist behind the mugs
With a Bachelor’s in Visual Communications from Northern Illinois University, my path has taken me from Illinois to Texas and Canada.
A Christmas gift for friends grew into collaborations with local businesses. Together, we create mugs that hold each place’s stories, landmarks, and heart.
The origin story
The journey began with a gift for friends in a remote fly-in community where my family served as missionaries. I drew the places and details that made it special, then wrapped them around a mug.
The next year, while waiting for our fourth daughter, I kept drawing scenes from the hub community where we were staying. Days before she was born, I carried a mock-up into a local coffee shop.

Collaborating To Celebrate Elgin
A group of local businesses transformed my Elgin drawings into a mural in newly renovated DuPage Court. Mural artist Joel Amore braved the cold and made the Elgin mug larger than life.
Brought to life by Dream Hall at 51, Viator Coffee Co., and Blue Box Cafe, the mural is a tribute to the community that makes Elgin one-of-a-kind.

Behind the scenes
Every structure, if it is to stand, needs a solid foundation. While I am privileged to tell the stories of communities through art, my husband is the steady presence behind the scenes, offering encouragement, perspective, and support along the way.
To my husband: thank you for encouraging my ideas, praying for this journey, and walking beside me through each season. None of this would exist without your steady presence.
